Parliamentary Motion on West Papua

Dear All,
After opening of the West Papuan People's Representative Office in Vanuatu for a couple of years, the Parliament of Vanuatu is ready to debate a Motion on West Papua. The objective of this Motion is to incorporate and formulate all the individual support of Politicians, Government Ministers, Customary Chiefs, Church leaders, NGO's and other Civil Societies into one collective and common support. Parliament will also seek for the Government to decide on a clear Foreign Policy towards West Papua and this will include number of packages which will be made known once it has been passed. The Motion will be moved during Parliament Ordinary Session by Hon. Serge Rialuth Vohor MP as the Leader of Opposition and seconded by Hon. Barak Tame Sope Maautamate as Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. We anticipate that the Motion will be supported by both sides of the House and that it will pass unanimously.
