Awards and Scholarships:
2001 Ø Recipient of the Australians Against Execution annual
Reconciliation Award. Awarded each year to the person whose work
best exemplifies the spirit of reconciliation, and demonstrates
commitment to breaking the cycle of revenge. 1974 Ø
Academie Dalam Negeri-Full 3 Year scholarship-including all fees
and weekly salary. Withdrew from those privileges for my own
political principles. 1972 Ø President Suharto Awards for
Academic Excellence- INPRES, Including a monetary prize to be used
towards future education.

1986
Ø Delegate with the Swedish “Great Peace Journey”: Our
Delegation traveled from Sweden to Fiji where we met with
government leaders of the UN member states in the South Pacific.
Held meetings with many state leaders the Pacific region including
NZ, Australia, PNG, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. In New Zealand,
Iwe met with Prime Minister, David Longi, and Helen Clark, member
of the parliament. In Australia we met with Prime Minister Bob
Hawke, and Foreign Minister, Bill Hayden. Briefed members of
Australian Parliament on West Papua in Federal parliament,
Canberra. Ø Speaking Tour in Australia and held meetings with
NGO’s and government leaders State and Federal Parliamentarians,
political parties, unions, local communities, churches, students
and foreign Embassies in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide,
Hobart, Wollongong and Newcastle. Presented a public lecture at
Hobart University, Tasmania, Spoke at the parliament in Hobart,
organised by Senator Bob Brown, Green Party of Australia. Had a
public information meeting at Trades Hall, Melbourne in October.
Giving seminar on West Papua (10 December 1986) Human Rights Day
in the Australian National University, mass-media coverage, raised
public awareness campaigns.
1983
Ø Lobbied Vatican Officials. Meetings with the Vice of the
Pope, Cardinal Smith, Italian Caritas International and Swedish
Ambassador to Vatican, Catholic Commission for peace and Justice
and interviewed by Radio Vatican Scandinavian section and appealed
for humanitarian intervention in West Papua. Ø Solidarity
Movement in Poland. Humanitarian help to activities to Poland
Solidarity movement by having a brief visit to Warsawa.
1978
Ø Mediator Role to release War Hostages Played facilitated role
to release hostages taken by the OPM. Approach Bishop of Vanimo,
Bishop John Edtrige and the government of PNG to release the
hostages peacefully. Secret talks between the OPM and these bodies
was done in the PNG soil.. Held first secret talks between the
leaders of the OPM with the government of PNG in Port Moresby
about reconciliation between factions within the OPM and border
situation, treated the war hostages according to Geneva
convention.
1976-78
Ø The Vice Chairman of the Leader of the OPM, the
headquarter of the OPM in West Papua. Functions
were: § Secretary General of the Council for
Restoration of Justice § Member of executive council of the OPM
and § High commander of the National Liberation Army in the
Provisional Government of West Papua. § The following tasks
were carried out: policy making, strategic plan, program, gave
direction, coordinated,campaigns,, propaganda works, public
awareness and education program, international networks and radio
communication, organized clandestine networks inside West Papua,
basic health and military training and education, established
international relation with neioghbouring countries, resettlement
of the refugees and revolutionary comrades and their families,
health and humanitarian supplies, open new camps and basis
disisolated by opening new links between noth-south and east-west,
ESKOPME. § Established social group- Japamefak.
1975-76 Ø General Secretary of the GOLKAR
Party of Indonesia for Jayapura Regency Ø Founder of Special
Cadre training program of GOLKAR Party, West Papua.Coordinator for
farmers, fishermen and forestry workers in Abepura, West
Papua. Ø Civil Defence Training Ø Founding member of West
Papuan Youth Movement. Executive member of the Amungme and
